Cambodia is now the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia, thanks to an increase in trade, tourism and aviation. The country needs an international airport to match.
This new airport from Foster + Partners is not only breathtaking in design, but is expected to accommodate 50M passengers by 2050. Phnom Penh has set its sights on becoming the next Singapore.
The RIBA said the project was the result of a "remarkable collaboration" between architects, engineers and designers. The B1M had endorsed the scheme to win.

The Alisher Navoi International Scientific Research Centre in New Tashkent will feature arched facades crafted from bricks made in local kilns.
