The Race to Replace a Cracked Dam

This will be one of the largest transport hubs anywhere on the planet. Costing a whopping $34 billion, Poland's Central Communications Port (CPK) will become a key cog connecting Central, Eastern and Western Europe.
While it looks impressive, combining air, roads and rail galore, it's a lot more than just a port. CPK will feature Poland's largest high-speed rail network stretching across the nation and linking to its bordering neighbours. But the project is far from straightforward - the complexity of the design, combined with a planned opening date of 2032 means engineers and architects are up against the clock in the race to create Europe's newest transport mega-hub.
Designed by Arquitectonica, the 81-storey mixed-use tower at 1414 Brickell would rise 308-metres above the city, offering a hotel, residential, office and retail space across its levels.
Designed by Populous and Maffeis Engineering for Venezia FC and the Municipality of Venice, the stadium in the region’s northern Tessera district will be used for football, rugby and concerts.
